November 2017

November RecapThis month has been all about harvest and healthy bodies.  The classrooms have really dived into the theme.  The cooking enrichment classes have prepared several healthy snacks and our art enrichment has been festive with their Thanksgiving crafts.  We were excited to have our very first scholastic book fair and thoroughly pleased with the outcome.  The school raised $436.79 for new books!  Thank you parents and families for taking the time out to visit our book fair.  If you missed it or were unable to stop by, don’t worry we will be looking forward to the next one in spring.

Our annual thanksgiving feast was held this month and the children seemed to really enjoy eating lunch together as a whole school.  They were able to visit with their friends and teachers while consuming some delicious dishes prepared by the parents and families.  As always, thank you parents for taking the time out of your busy lives to share dishes for our special events.  It is greatly appreciated.

I would like to take this time to welcome our new families that have joined us recently.  The Ribas, Chung, Ortiz, and White families.  Welcome to Little Acorn!

We have come to an end with our See’s Candies fundraiser.  The school is excited to see how much was raised and hopefully we will be looking out for a new sandbox on our playground!
